GENDER EQUALITY MUST BE ENSURED...
Pointing out that the role of women in society is one of the most important indicators of the level of development of countries, Savaşan stated that there is a need to determine the existing deficiencies in the fields of ensuring gender equality, women's full and effective utilization of equal opportunities and prevention of violence against women and girls with a realistic perspective and to eliminate them as soon as possible.
THERE IS AN IMPORTANT LINK BETWEEN WOMEN'S RIGHTS AND DEVELOPMENT...
Reminding that the United Nations, with its 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, has demonstrated that there is an important link between the empowerment of women and girls and the fight against poverty, development and prosperity, Savaşan underlined that women should have equal rights to wages, decent work and working environment, the right to housing, the right to vote and be elected.
WOMEN'S POSITION IN SOCIAL AND POLITICAL LIFE MUST BE STRENGTHENED...
Stating that it is essential to strengthen the position of women in social and political life, Dr. Ahmet Savaşan wished for a world free from war and violence, where humane living conditions and equality will prevail, and said, “We congratulate all working women in general and our mothers and daughters in particular on March 8, International Women's Day.”[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
